One of the many wonderful things about Lipsett Lake is the presence of six or seven bald eagles that make their home in two nests near the water's edge. I'd never seen an eagle in the wild before, so being so close to so many just added to the wonderment of the week. I don't exactly have wildlife photography equipment, but I strapped on the 135mm and we headed out on the boat to capture a few shots.

The first of many posts from my recent (and wonderful) vacation with Kristin to Northwestern Wisconsin. Back in Pittsburgh now, but with lots of memories and stacks of photos to keep my spare time occupied!
